Whether they're vintage or contemporary, from the "Big Four" or an "Indie Designer", sewing patterns are my eye candy! I enjoy browsing through flea markets, rummage sales, charity shops, yard sales, estate sales, auctions and thrift stores to search them out. Since vintage trolling is my weakness, okay, one of my weaknesses, my shop also includes the vintage treasures that I find. I enjoy giving new life to unique and usable items from times past. I find it interesting to research their history, ponder about their previous owner and share their stories.

I started sewing Barbie doll clothes on my Mom's 1948 Singer Featherweight. Then I graduated to sewing clothes for myself. In high school I drafted a pattern for a summer top. I guessed what the pattern pieces would look like and drew them onto wrapping paper. Let's just say that my first muslin never made it past the bedsheet phase! I'm always adding to my sewing knowledge through courses, reading and, of course, sewing. I'm a member of a local "Sewcialists" group and enjoy sewing, shopping and swapping with my sewing friends!
