Phulkari ChikanKari Kantha Block Printing

Get to Know

I originally belong to India. My husband passed away at a really young age. So I decided to turn to stitching, sewing and embroidery as a way to support my three daughters. I starterd out with stitching hand embroidered, Indian style tunics (kurtis). Then started hand embroidering phulkari shawls and stoles but soon learnt to also do kantha embroidery. Now with the help of my three grown up daughters, I design, embroider & sew items. For making bags from vintage fabric, I also get help in construction from 3 other artisans that work with me. Collectively, I like to think of our humble group as Artisans of India. Working together, it took us close to an year to hand craft the items that you listed in my shop. Thank you so much for visiting my shop and please let me know if you have any questions. **Large Orders Welcome**
