It seems like every month, technology changes, Google algorithms change, styles change, everything changes! It is not an easy task to try and keep up with all the changes. We have been doing our best over the past few years to change with technology and begin transitioning from a customer facing business to an online eCommerce business. At no time will we ever fully detach ourselves from being face to face with our customers, however, we need to realize that more and more of our customers are buying online now. It used to be that the only way to reach our customers was to pack up the cube truck and trailer and head out to a craft show. With the advancements in technology, now we need to put our products in front of them online. People can do all the research they need online and make the best buying decision for themselves. To accommodate this change, we have began to update our websites and place our products on every online market place we can find. Stansgifts.com has undergone multiple changes and updates and so has our sister company northlandframesandgifts.com.  Every week we continue to try and add new products and descriptions to make sure our customers are getting the most accurate product knowledge.Â
At the moment we are in the process of updating all of our product pictures. This is no small task, as we have over 600 different designs to offer. On top of that we are now offering all of our designs in our Original Oak Finish, as well as Black and White finishes. Each design needs pictures including all the different variations available for purchase. When you look at the grand scheme of things, each website or marketplace has a specific style of picture that the users like to see. On our eBay and Amazon stores, the pictures need to be taken a very specific way. They need to be of only the product. No Background. This means every single picture needs to be Photoshopped to take out all the background. On more artsy sites, such as Etsyand Artfire, we need to have more creative pictures. Pictures of the the frames with creative backgrounds and props. This makes taking the pictures a daunting task as we need to take somewhere over 2,000 product pictures.Â
We will continue to move along with the ever changing online world. It is a fun journey and we enjoy every minute of it. In the coming weeks we hope to have better pictures up of our new Black Frames and Black Mattes. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
