Welcome to RubbaDuckieStrings...the workshop that designs and creates unique art pieces aka electric violins for all ages. We are new to the market for handcrafted instruments, but have spent a great deal of time preparing for this adventure. We have spent months simply researching the acoustical properties of various aspects of electric violins and experimenting with different designs and materials to achieve the best playing, best sounding, best looking violins we can make. Each violin is individually designed and painstakingly crafted to accomplish these goals; then a period of "tweaking" to resolve any issues that may arise. We are proud to stand behind our products and hope you will be proud to own one.
At this time we do not have any violins available for purchase. We are crafting new fiddles and hope to have them available soon so stay tuned for the new ones to be posted. If you want a special order to be made, please contact us and we will be happy to make arrangements. Thank you for visiting our shop and for your patience while we work on turning out the best possible instruments we can make!!!
We have added a new line of a very different item from our violins...Chokers for Fiddles for Cancer. These choker necklaces are a trendy way of showing your support for Cancer patients and survivors, not only by wearing the necklaces, but by actively helping to improve the quality of life of people coping with this illness. Part of the cost of every necklace is going to help cover the expense of making electric violins to gift to these folks to make treatment and recovery less difficult and less painful. We have started by donating two electric fiddles, a full size and a 1/4 size, to the Lung Association in Raleigh, NC to be auctioned off at their fundraiser in Charlotte,NC on June 4, 2016. Your choice of charms to make that special necklace and let everyone know that "Yes...cancer does matter to me". Thank you for helping in this project and we hope you love the chokers as much as we love making them for you! More »
