Get to Know
What turns me on, visually? Light, color, contrast, contradiction, some idea of searching for a hidden truth.
I have been playing with my photographic version of the world since I was 15 years old, experimenting with all sorts of cameras and techniques, from traditional black and white, to blueprinting and toning, to printing and sewing on canvas, to Polaroid transfer, and finally, though not abandoning the others, to digital, where I now live happily in the world of the infinitely possible.
I received photo and art training at Cornell University and the University of Washington (where I earned an M.Arch), and digital training at Photobition.
I live in Seattle, where we do not necessarily have the bluest skies but certainly some of the loveliest clouds.
