Red Yellow and Orange Dragon Jewelry Pendant with Beaded Dangle

This one of a kind dragon pendant was sculpted by hand in Premo polymer clay. I swirled together shades of yellow, orange, and red clay, creating stripes down the center of the dragon as I sculpted her. She's rather serpentine and in the form of an S shape, with a few extra curves. Her wings are a vibrant yellow, on which I lightly dusted some gold Pearl Ex powder for a bit of extra shimmer. Her tail ends in a pointed yellow tip and has a wire running through it. This adds strength to the clay so I could securely add the beaded dangle which is composed of a red and orange focal bead capped by gold filigree bead caps and accented with red and yellow seed beads and a red glass bead at the end. I used a smaller gold filigree bead cap and red glass bead in the center of her back where her wings join. Her eyes are tiny green glass beads. This is a sweet and gentle little dragon, as you can by her expression. She's sculpted onto a green and gold polymer clay oval backing which has a channel to thread your necklace or beading wire through. This handcrafted jewelry pendant would make a very unique addition to any necklace!
