FUSED DICHROIC GLASS CABOCHON-108. 35mm x 21mm

This sweet little piece has smaller bits of dichroic in light shades of pink and light green, floating above a brillant blue background.
The glass cabochons are made by cutting and carefully layering dichroic glass bits, then placed in a kiln and fired, with more dichroic being added and re-fired multiple times for incredible depth and color play.. When I'm happy with the piece it is then shaped with lapidary equipment to give it a nice clean edge, then placed back in the kiln to polish the edge and anneal the piece for extra strength.
