This elegant handmade Fused Glass night light is made of blue iridized glass. I fused a white enamel screen printed moon and candle decal on to the night light and added texture for extra shimmer. Blue signifies peace, tranquility, harmony, truth, and confidence.
This charming handmade dichroic Fused Glass moon night light is a wonderful addition to any room! It has a lovely soft glow for any room any time of the year.
Iridized glass is created when just after the glass has been sheet-formed, a layer of metallic oxide is adhered to the hot glass surface. This bonding results in a vibrant, glistening mother-of-pearl and rainbow sheen effect to the glass perfect for this blue night light.
The sun is symbolic of the fraternal (male, yang) aspect of guidance; and so logically the moon stoically stands as the maternal (female or yin) influence. The means by which the moon wields her force and influence. She is considered a luminary, but she produces no light of her own accord. She is reliant upon the suns light to reflect (mirror) her image to our earthly eyes.
