This is a choker; the Greek leather cord is just 18" long and will fit a man but also ride high on a woman's neck because the copper talisman is very light. The hammered copper coil is hand-rubbed to a fine glossy glow, then rubbed with microcrystalline (museum) wax and buffed up again. The clasp is also handmade by me, and is quite easy to fasten securely, and unfasten, without looking or fumbling.

It's the kind of thing you'll find yourself wearing with everything, and there's nothing else like it around. I made this by hand, annealing and twisting, annealing again and hammering, over and over until it was just right. It's been hand-rubbed through several grit levels of progressively finer polishing materials until it just gleamed. Then I oxidized it, cleaned and polished it again! It's been finished off with British (Renaissance brand) museum wax, to ensure that fingerprints and other marks don't find their way into the delicately rustic patina.

This comes gift-wrapped in a brown kraft box bearing my brand label, with cotton box filler and designer tissue imprinted with pen-and-ink dragonfly images, and black raffia-style glossy ribbon. The ribbon will be loosely tied, so that you may inspect your purchase before presenting as a gift.

One-of-a-kind; this piece was handmade by me in my home studio, here in the Yolla Bolly Wilderness area, in the east-facing foothills of the Mendocino mountains in northern California.

I take deep pride in my work; each piece is infused with its own personality by the time I've finished it, even if it bears some similarity to another I've made earlier. Because these creations have life for me, I will gladly repair anything untoward that may happen to it in the normal course of wearing.
