1/144 Resin Kit Douglas AD-5 [A-1E] Skyraider South Vietnam Air Force

This item is an unassembled handmade "garage resin" 1/144 scale model kit of a Douglas AD-5 Skyraider in gull gray and white paint scheme with VNAF markings.

The kit was designed by Don's Custom Models. The beautiful decals were designed and printed by Yuuichi Kurakami in Japan. This kit was molded and cast in SC.

The kit is all-resin with landing gear and drop tanks and includes the Y-Kraft decals, scale drawings and a color guide for painting and placement of the decals. There is an optional clear resin canopy section but a simple conversion is required to use it. The finished model is perfectly presentable with a painted canopy.


Obviously this kIt is intended for experienced, advanced modelers and collectors...and not for children.

The Skyraider had a long service life with several countries and saw plenty of combat in Korea and Vietnam with the US Air Force, Navy and Marines.. They were used for a wide variety of missions and dozens of different paint schemes.
