One-of-a-kind Working Birdhouses

These are “working” birdhouses made of wood with vents and a bottom that can be removed to clean the birdhouse. They are sealed with a clear varnish or spray. In most cases, outdoor paints or stains were used. If possible they should be hung under a tree or other sheltered a area with the hole facing northeast. Leave nesting materials in over the winter so birds can use them for shelter from the cold.
