You'll find numerous uses around the house and shop for this heavy duty, practical and attractive mechanical pencil. The 5.6mm (nearly 1/4" dia.) lead will never break. The pencil includes a precision, mechanism has an integrated sharpener in the cap. Includes an 80mm length of lead. The total length is just short of 5" without any lead extended.
Redwood Lace Burl is a gorgeous hard wood with beautiful burl and dark rich colors. Only about one in one thousand redwood trees will have a root-crown burl or even rarer yet an above-ground burl. Unfortunately, many areas are inaccessible to heavy equipment to dig them out, so those stumps will be there forever.
A bit about of the process of creating these pencils: I start with a hand-selected bit of wood and the bits that make up the pencil. I then spend some time working the wood to be the proper diameter to match the mechanism. Sand paper is applied, through a number of grits, to get a nice, smooth surface. Several coats of finish are applied and buffed. The wood and metal bits are then combined into a unique item.

Policies
Shipping
Wood and wire objects will be shipped through USPS, usually through priority mail. If the postage costs exceed what I've charged, I'll absorb the difference.
Stained glass must be insured in shipment and will usually be shipped through UPS.
Sales Tax:
All shipments to Texas must add 8.25 % for Sales Tax.
Custom work:
I'm happy to discuss custom work, whether it's a pen, bottle stopper, chainmaille, or stained glass. Custom pieces require a 50% deposit up front to allow me to purchase materials.
Returns:
If an item needs to be returned, let me know within 7 days of receipt and we can arrange something. The return policy on custom pieces can vary and will be discussed at the time of commissioning.
