This is a sample of a custom paper quilled wedding invitation designed in shades of apple green and ivory. The original invitation had a black border so I matted it with a complimentary green paper with a scalloped edge. I embellish the scallops with pearl beads for a classic wedding border. Quilled roses with green swavoski crystal centers and vines run down each side of the invitation. The finished piece is framed in a black 12"x12" frame covered with glass to create a unforgetable keepsake. It can be hung on the wall or set upon a shelf. This is the perfect gift when you want to give the bridal couple something really special that can't be bought in a store. A custom made gift is always a favorite item at bridal showers and becomes the talk of the party. It can be displayed at the wedding reception on the day of the big event complimenting the theme of the day. It can be designed in any colors you would like to include. Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I have been giving these personal one of a kind framed gifts to every couple that I know who has been married for the last 15 years. Quilling is the art of creating decorative designs from thin strips or curled paper forming intricate floral patterns and filigrees. This unique craft has been produced for hundreds of years.
Quilling was practiced by monks and nuns during the Renaissance, the upper class women of 18th century Europe and eventually finding it's way to American families during Colonial times. Through it's evolution paper quilling has continued to be gallery worthy artwork and a treasured piece of world history.
